You sign in with your Google account, so we never handle a password. Your invite, photos and settings are stored so you can edit and share them. Your guests never need an account: when they reply, we keep the name they type and how many people are coming, so you can see who will be there. We never sell your data or your guests' data.
1.Who we are
This policy covers aaiyega.com, a website for digital invitations. Aaiyega is run by SilverThink, a brand of HeySERP Marketing Services, Plot No. 17, S/F, Sector 7 Dwarka, New Delhi, India. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means Aaiyega. "You" means the person who makes an invite. "Guests" means the people you send it to.
We decide how the data described here is used, which makes us its Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Questions and requests go to hey@aaiyega.com.
2.What we collect from you
- When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile photo and Google account ID. We never see your Google password.
- Your invite: names, family lines, functions, dates, venues, the song you pick, your RSVP settings and the photos you upload. It is saved as you edit, so nothing is lost if you close the page.
- The WhatsApp number you add for replies is used only to open a chat with you when a guest replies, if you choose that. It is never shown on the invite.
- When you pay, Razorpay (in India) or LemonSqueezy (outside India) takes the payment. We receive the payment ID, the amount and whether it went through. We never see your UPI PIN, card number or bank details.
- Every visit sends us your IP address, browser, device type and the pages you open. We use this to run the site and keep it safe.
We never ask for your address, contacts, location or any ID.
3.Your guests
Anyone with the link can open an invite. Invite pages are hidden from search engines, so they are found only through the link you share.
When a guest opens the invite, we count the visit. When they reply, we keep the name they type, their phone number if they add one, whether they are coming, how many people, which functions and any message. You see this in My invites. If you choose, the reply also opens a WhatsApp chat with you on the guest's phone, which the guest sends themselves.
The guest's browser keeps a small code so they can change their reply later. Invite pages carry no ad trackers, and we never contact your guests.
4.Photos and invite details
Photos you upload are resized, and their hidden details (such as where and when the photo was taken) are removed before they are stored. They are kept on BunnyCDN in a folder for your account only, and shown only on your invite.
You decide what goes on your invite. Everyone with the link sees it, and guests can screenshot or forward it, so add only what you are happy for them to keep. Upload only photos you have the right to use, of people who are fine being on the invite. The content rules say what cannot go on an invite.
5.Music from YouTube
If you add a song, your invite plays it through YouTube's player, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. The player loads only after a guest taps to open the invite. When it does, YouTube (Google) receives the guest's IP address and browser details, as with any YouTube video; Google's privacy policy covers that.
When you search for a song in the editor, your search words go to YouTube through our server. We keep recent searches for a short time so the same search is quicker.
6.How we use your data
We use your data to:
- show your invite to your guests and show their replies to you;
- sign you in, take your payment and keep your receipts;
- keep the site safe and stop misuse;
- see which pages and features work, so we can improve them (Google Analytics, below);
- learn which of our ads on X, Facebook and Instagram bring people who make and buy an invite (see who else sees your data, below);
- reply to you, and follow the law.
We do not sell your data. We do not make automated decisions about you that have legal effects.
8.Cookies and browser storage
Signing in sets a session cookie. A guest's browser keeps a code for their reply. The cookie policy lists every cookie and every item kept in your browser.
9.How long we keep it
- A draft invite: until you delete it or your account.
- A published invite, its photos and guest replies: while it is live, then 90 days after it ends, so you can look back at who came. After that the photos and replies are deleted and the link shows a short thank-you note.
- Your account: until you delete it.
- Server logs: a short time, then deleted on a rolling basis.
- Payment records: as long as tax law says.
We keep a record longer only when the law requires it, or for a legal claim.
10.Deleting your account
Open My invites, then Settings, tap Delete account at the bottom and confirm. It happens at once. If you can't sign in, write to us from the email on the account and we will delete it for you.
Deleting it removes your invites, photos, guest replies, name and email. Live links stop working. We keep only what the law makes us keep, such as payment records.
11.Your rights and grievances
You can ask to see your data, correct it or delete it, and take back any consent you gave. Under the DPDP Act, you can also name someone to use these rights for you. A guest can ask us to remove their reply from an invite.
Email hey@aaiyega.com to use any of them. We may ask you to write from the email on your account so we know it is you.
For a complaint, including a grievance under India's IT Act, 2000, write to the same address with "Grievance" in the subject. It goes to our Grievance Officer, Sunny Kumar. We confirm within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days. You can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
12.Security and changes
All traffic to the site is encrypted, and only the people who run Aaiyega can reach the data. No website is completely secure, so we cannot promise your data will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. We tell you about big changes by email before they happen.
