We use few cookies: one to keep you signed in, one for a guest's reply, one that remembers an invite's password, and a short-lived one while you sign in with Google. On our own pages, Google Analytics counts visits, and X's ad pixel and the Meta Pixel tell us which ads on X, Facebook and Instagram lead to purchases. There are no analytics or ad cookies on the invite pages your guests open.
1.What we use and why
A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser. Browser storage is similar, and stays on your device except where the table below says it is sent to us. We use them only to keep you signed in, to let a guest open a password-protected invite and change their reply, and to remember a few things you typed or picked. On our own pages, Google Analytics, X's ad pixel and the Meta Pixel also use them to count visits and measure our ads on X, Facebook and Instagram. This page lists each one by name.
3.Kept in your browser
| Name | What it keeps | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
aaiyega-read-size | The text size you picked with A− and A+ on these policy pages. | Until you clear it |
aai-rsvp-<invite id> | On an invite page, a copy of the reply the guest sent (name, phone, message), so the form shows it again on their next visit. | Until you clear it |
aai-rsvp-<link> | On an invite page, a random number sent with the guest's reply, so changing a reply updates it instead of adding a second one. It says nothing about who the guest is. | Until you clear it |
aai-purchase | For a moment after you pay, the amount and payment ID, so Google Analytics, X's ad pixel and the Meta Pixel can count the purchase once on your dashboard. It is removed as soon as that page opens. | Seconds |
aai-country | On our own pages, the two-letter code of the country Cloudflare places your connection in, so prices show in US dollars outside India without asking Cloudflare again on every page. | Until you close the tab |
aai-links-<link> | In your dashboard, the guest names you typed to make guest-name links, so they are still there when you come back. | Until you clear it |
4.YouTube on invite pages
When an invite has a song, YouTube's player loads in privacy-enhanced mode, and only after the guest taps to open the invite. YouTube may keep its own data in the guest's browser to play the song; Google's policies cover it. Most designs also load their lettering from Google Fonts, which sets nothing in the browser. No other third party sets anything on invite pages.
5.Turning them off
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block them, you won't be able to stay signed in, and a guest won't be able to change a reply they already sent. Blocking Google's, X's or Meta's cookies, or using an ad blocker, changes nothing on Aaiyega.
When we add a cookie, we add it to this page the same day.
